Adi Lerer

Adi's practice based research are in socially engaged art, and perspectives of art institutions' role as civic institutions. More particularly she is looking at the curator's responsibility towards its constituents, mediation of information, and methods of social art practices imbedded in art institutions that might affect their structure. She is a practice based PhD candidate at Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths University, and holds an MA in Exhibition Studies from Liverpool John Moores University. Her writing focuses on topics such as contemporary social curatorial and artistic practices, and manifestation of power structures between the art institutions, artists and constituents.

Since 2019 Adi is leading the Home from Home programme at Tate Liverpool. Previously she worked for the British Council drama & dance team and at the National Gallery development & events team. She also draws on her 20 years performance background.
